Packet Continuum for Cisco UCS
Packet Continuum for Cisco UCS is a massively scalable, lossless packet capture solution on the open Cisco UCS computing infrastructure. Packet Continuum is designed to continuously capture live network traffic directly from a network tap, span/mirror, or packet broker. All captured traffic (in the form of PCAP files) is instantly searchable across very long capture timelines, with support for “federated” threat-hunting and fast PCAP search across up to 100 capture points.
NextComputing offers a high-speed packet analytics ingestion system and automated PCAP data workflow for Splunk using standard Splunk data interchange methods. This interface extends the capability of the Packet Continuum and allows Splunk users to parse packet flow data and packet-level analytics in real-time, for correlation within Splunk to other relevant network data feeds. It also allows Splunk users to selectively ingest historical PCAP query results for in-depth packet review.
For Wireshark users, the Packet Continuum offers an automated PCAP extraction capability for streaming into Wireshark and simultaneously into other open source tools-of-choice.
